Maintenance Technician

Light Maintenance Duties – painting, changing light bulbs, carpet deep cleaning, furniture mobilization, hanging mirrors, fixtures, and décor in rooms and community, maintain grounds from waste, debris, landscape litter, weather, etc.
Performs minor repairs, to locks, wall/sheetrock gaps, etc.
Reports all concerns and issues; assist Maintenance Manager as needed.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Houskeeping Duties - Deep cleaning of rooms, common areas, within the community.
Mopping, Sweeping, occasional buffing.
Maintain Housekeeping equipment.
Sanitizing restrooms, communicable areas, chairs, furniture, etc.
Works with Dining staff, Lead Housekeeper, Maintenance Manager to maintain and ensure sanitation and safety.
Assist with vacuuming rooms, cleaning restrooms, dusting, window washing

Driver – Must have clean MVP record and current Drivers License. Transport residents to medication appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Maintain vehicle as outlined by Brookdale Senior Living and State and Transportation compliances/policies/procedures.
NO CDL’s Required for this type of vehicle.


Must have experience. Preferably in an Assisted Living /healthcare environment. Driving experience operating small passenger vehicle or 9 count bus. CDL’s are not required.
Basic Maintenance knowledge of safety compliances, chemical/SDS.

Requirements to be a Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technicians will maintain scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on, but not limited to: HVAC, elevator, fire and sprinkler equipment, generators, landscape, kitchen equipment and emergency pull cord equipment. Maintenance Technicians will also perform general maintenance projects as scheduled or assigned and respond to maintenance requests by community directors and residents in both private rooms and public living areas. They will also maintain positive communication with local fire marshal, building inspector and any other jurisdictions governing the community.
