Responsibilities

Leverage data from multiple sources, conduct data analysis and communicate findings to help influence and guide decisions for the organization.

  1. Evaluates and compares company benefit programs to those of other employers through the development of and participation in area and industry surveys.  Analyzes results of surveys to provide recommendations.  Participates in development of proposal requests to existing and potential vendors.
  2. Serves as department systems “power user”.  Manages benefit related data, maintains benefit tables, develops and uses queries, runs interfaces and analyzes employee utilization of current benefits.
  3. Works with data warehouse team quarterly to examine benefit trends and develop strategy to mitigate high cost claimants.
  4. Structures questions logically, conducts appropriate analyses, and ensures accuracy of results produced
  5. Identifies opportunities to improve business performance at the community level and corporate-wide, in topics such as turnover and retention.
  6. Writes queries (SQL, Oracle BI) to gather and prepare data
  7. Provides interpretation of analytical findings
  8. Works closely with other members of HR, IT, Finance and Operations team to produce team deliverables
  9. Ability to work independently as necessary on important projects with challenging schedules
  10. Performs large scale data analysis and develops effective statistical models
  11. Provides regular and ad hoc analyses for various audiences

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Statistics, Business Analytics or related field preferred.  Minimum of 3-4 years of benefits administration preferred.
